Frequently asked questions
Answers to the practical questions that often come before a treatment decision.
Do I need to choose a clinic first?
No. You can start with a question or a problem you want assessed. Saved clinics are preferences, not a requirement.
Who recommends my treatment?
The clinician who assesses you recommends care and explains the alternatives and risks before you decide.
How can I compare quotes?
Compare the treatment, materials, visits, included items and follow-up in the written proposals. Clinical differences need an explanation from the treating team.
Who books the travel and stay?
Agree arrangements directly with the organisations providing them. Check the terms for flights, accommodation, transfers and clinic appointments separately, especially if dates may change.
Can someone travel with me?
Discuss companion accommodation, transfers and any access or language needs with the relevant providers. Include the companion’s costs when comparing the visit.
How long should I stay?
The treating team recommends the appointment and recovery schedule for your case. Hospital discharge is not automatically permission to fly, drive or return to usual activities.
What happens if the plan changes?
Ask the clinic what still depends on examination and how a revised treatment and price would be agreed. Travel and accommodation may have different change or cancellation terms from the clinic.
Will my insurance cover treatment?
Check directly with your insurer and explain the planned treatment. Ask about complications, an extended stay and getting home if you need medical help. Do not assume ordinary holiday cover is sufficient.
What support is available after I return home?
Agree clinical reviews, local aftercare and contact arrangements before booking. Before leaving the clinic, confirm the written instructions and any changes to that plan. Medical concerns go to the clinical team or local medical services when needed.
Which medical documents will I need?
The clinical team decides which records are needed. Ask the clinic what to prepare and how to share it securely. Do not attach medical records to a general website contact message.
Is this an urgent care service?
No. For urgent symptoms or an emergency, seek local medical help immediately. Do not wait for a planning enquiry.
